50th Anniversary of EMS Week
May 19th – 25th
This year is the 50th anniversary of EMS week and the national theme for this year is “Honoring Our Past. Forging Our Future,” reminding us to acknowledge the foundational work of those who came before us, while also striving to build and lead the EMS system we envision for our future.
There is respect and admiration for the dedicated emergency medical services (EMS) professionals. These skilled individuals respond quickly to medical emergencies, providing critical care and lifesaving interventions on the scene and en route to healthcare facilities. Their commitment and expertise ensure that patients receive the best care during some of their most vulnerable moments. Without these special individuals called to serve the public, our healthcare system would cease to exist.
Are you a Maine EMS agency?
If you have existing technology but are interested in upgrading your equipment or expanding the capacity of your equipment under this opportunity, don’t hesitate to complete the interest form through Maine EMS.
NEWCOM’s contract with the state allows variation for each unit based on what is needed to reach the desired level of connectivity. Therefore, we can perform upgrades to existing equipment if desired. If you have other emergency vehicles that you wish to outfit with this technology (e.g., fire apparatus, law enforcement vehicles, snowplows, etc.), there is a Master Service Agreement with the State of Maine that is accessible to local governments.
