NEWCOM works with public safety agencies to implement HAAS Alert’s collision prevention service, SafetyCloud. The service enhances emergency alerting on the road by notifying nearby motorists inside their vehicle that an emergency vehicle is nearby.
The HA-7™ transponder integrates directly with an emergency vehicle’s lightbar and is mounted inside the vehicle, wiring to the emergency lights to operate automatically with no user interaction required. When activated, it triggers Responder-to-Vehicle (R2V™) alerts delivered over cellular networks to approaching motorists. These alerts are received through widely used navigation apps like Waze and Apple Maps, as well as compatible in-vehicle infotainment systems, reaching hundreds of millions of drivers on the road. Installation typically takes 30 minutes or less, minimizing fleet downtime, and no additional data plans are required.
