NEWCOM supports NSA’s Efforts – Hurricane Harvey Disaster Relief
AUGUST 31, 2017 – PEMBROKE, MA – NEWCOM supports sister company TAG Global Systems in efforts to contribute to the National Sheriffs’ Association Disaster Relief efforts for law enforcement individuals and their families during Hurricane Harvey’s natural disaster.
NSA’s press release:
Hurricane Harvey has law enforcement officers on the streets in Texas working to save lives and to restore order in their communities, even though they may have personally lost all that they own. Some have families in shelters, while others had their families evacuated out of the devastated community that they call home. When these individuals have finished helping their communities, they will need help restoring order to their own lives, to help their own families to begin the healing process, and to start the heartbreaking process of recovery.
The National Sheriffs’ Association (NSA) is a non-profit professional association located in Alexandria, Virginia. NSA represents the nearly 3,100 elected sheriffs across the nation and has more than 20,000 members, including deputy sheriffs, other law enforcement professionals, and students. Throughout its sixty-seven year history, NSA has served as an information clearinghouse for sheriffs, deputies, chiefs of police, other law enforcement professionals, state governments and the federal government. NSA also provides management training for sheriffs and their command personnel in school safety and court security. The organization also administers the highly successful National Neighborhood Watch, Weapons of Mass Destruction Response, and Triad programs.
NEWCOM, and sister company TAG Global Systems, supports National Sheriffs’ Association initiatives. The Disaster Relief Fund was established to assist affected law enforcement individuals and their families who require immediate relief from economic hardships due to natural disasters. “Hurricane Harvey has left devastation. Partnering with the NSA to help is part of our corporate social responsibility.” says Dov Koplovsky, Owner and CEO of NEWCOM.
