PEMBROKE, Massachusetts, October 27, 2026 – NEWCOM, a technology solution provider and systems integrator, signed on as an authorized partner of NuVech Solutions, a pioneer in road safety innovation and developer of AirBar. Through the partnership, NEWCOM will bring NuVech’s road safety solution to new market helping roadside operators, first responder agencies, and any fleet create safer environments around vehicles.
The AirBar is a lightweight, inflatable extending arm with bright flashing LEDs that increases the visibility of a vehicle for pedestrians, cyclists, and motorists. This helps improve awareness of potential hazards around the vehicle, supporting safety and security beyond the driver’s ability to see risks.
Designed with automated safety in mind, AirBar can deploy automatically when a vehicle is turning or manually through an in-cab control. When traveling below 15 mph, the system can automatically deploy with the nearside indicator, providing an additional visual warning to cyclists, pedestrians and motor vehicles in potential blind spot hazards.
